Enjoy the Great Outdoors Together
Riverside Park runs alongside a portion of the Speed River, so it’s a great place within Guelph to go for a stroll, get a glimpse of some wildlife, and enjoy each other’s company.
Guelph Lake – the trails are amazing, especially after a fresh sprinkle of snow.
Goldie Mill Park Ruins. You can enjoy the beauty of the ruins, quietly meditate along the banks of the Speed River, and (in the warmer months) have a romantic picnic with your special someone. It’s a lovely backdrop for some photos.

Walk through the vibrant downtown, then finish off with a view of the city from the Civic Museum patio.
Niska Road Trail. It’s such a quiet place to explore and walk during the day, plus wildlife frequents the area.
Skating at City Hall is a perfect date idea. And being right downtown means there are plenty of options for coffee or hot chocolate afterwards.
Rockwood Conservation Area. You get to breathe in the fresh air and enjoy the trails.
Take a stroll behind River Run. It’s a great place for a walk along the river after dinner downtown.
Marden Lake in the early morning when it’s quiet is a wonderful spot.
There’s a little pond on 7th Line. It’s in the valley where the sun is always shining in the evening. It was a great area to spot beavers, geese, coyotes, deer, turtles and more. Lovely, peaceful and romantic.
