My journey into real estate began when I bumped into a dear friend, who suggested I would be perfect in the industry. In my younger years, I had a passion for people and utilized these skills as a very successful and award-winning aesthetician for over 15 years. I loved the industry because of the people and the relationships that I had built, but something always felt like it was missing. After following the advice of my dear friend, I started working in real estate as an administrative assistant and quickly came to realize that my passion was helping people with all their real estate needs and goals.
I’ve come to realize over the years that real estate is not just about the transaction. It’s about the relationship and you must know, like and trust that person. I strive to get to know each of my clients individually, to really get to understand what their needs and wants are. There have been many times through the process of buying or selling where my client’s thought they understood their needs and wants, but as we got to know one another and peel back the layers, we were able to really dig deep and discover what their actual needs and wants truly were. I pride myself on building life-long relationships with my clients. If I am taking time away from my family, as they are theirs, I want my clients to be treated as exactly that. We spend a lot of personal time trying to find the right space to call home, it’s impossible not to get to know each other and have a few laughs along the way… I may crack the odd joke or two! In all seriousness, I am never afraid to share my honest opinion if I do not feel that any space is not the right space. At the end of the day, I want my clients to feel confident in their purchase or sale.
In my personal life, you can find me enjoying a local patio with friends, or a dinner out downtown Guelph with my husband. Often, I bump into clients on the trails with my daughter and pup. Guelph is a city that I truly love, I try to shop local anywhere I can. Although I wasn’t born and raised, I have truly embraced Guelph as my home since 2007, I cannot see myself or raising my daughter anywhere else
What is your favourite space in your home?
I absolutely love my family room as this where my husband, daughter and I gather after a long day of work to reconnect and snuggle... and maybe perhaps gather to play a competitive game of monopoly.
What are two things on your bucket list?
1. I would love to travel to the French Polynesia to explore the islands and stay on a hut on the coral reef. 2. I can't wait skydive! although it scares he daylights out of me I'd love to experience this in Switzerland or Hawaii!
What do you love about being a REALTOR®?
People! I love meeting and getting to know new people. We all walk a different walk, and I love listening to everyone's different stories and makes them tick.Every person I meet is so different and I learn something new from each person I talk too :)
