Looking for things to do this long weekend? Well, communities across Wellington County have planned some amazing Canada Day activities! Take a look and see!
Hamilton
- Family-friendly events, activities, and food trucks at the Bayfront Park from 4 to 10:30pm
- Sports Zone at the Bayfront Park where visitors can check out their favour sport teams including the Hamilton Bulldogs, Forge FC, Toronto Rock, and Hamilton Honey Badgers at the Bayfront Park from 4 to 10:30pm
- Fireworks at the Bayfront park starting at 10:30pm
Guelph
- Beer gardens, food trucks, and family fun at Exhibition Park on both July 1st and 2nd from 11am to 9pm
- Fireworks hosted by the Rotary Club of Guelph at Riverside Park at 10pm/dusk
Puslinch
- A pancake breakfast, bouncy castles and carnival games at the Puslinch Community Centre from 9 to 11am
- Fireworks at the community centre grounds at dusk
Elora
- Elora Volunteer Firefighter’s Pancake Breakfast in MacDonald Square from 7 to 11am
- Soap Box Derby coordinated by BBBS of Centre Wellington at David Street and Geddes Street from 8 to 11am
- Dominion Day Parade in downtown Elora starting at 11am
- Lunch at Bissell Park with free hot dogs, live music, kid’s activities, a dog agility show, and highland dancing from 12 to 1pm
- Duck race at Bussell Park at 1:30pm
Fergus
- Kid’s Fashion Show: Dress as your Favourite Hero at the Centre Wellington Sportsplex from 4 to 4:30
- Family Bingo at the Centre Wellington Sportsplex from 4:45 to 5:45
- Wandering Magician at the Centre Wellington Sportsplex from 5 to 7
- A fashion show by Jaboli and Downton Clothiers at the Centre Wellington Sportsplex from 6 to 6:45
- Magic Show at the Centre Wellington Sportsplex from 7 to 8pm
- Live DJ at the Centre Wellington Sportsplex from 8 to 9:30pm
- Canada Day Firework Show at the Centre Wellington Sportsplex starting at 9:30pm
